Vividh Bharati Online is a flagship broadcasting service of the public sector radio channel All India Radio. It is the most listened to and very popular radio service among radio listeners in India. Mainly Hindi film songs are played on it. Along with this, many programs are also broadcast which are very popular.
It was started on 3 October 1957. The year 2006-2007 was also celebrated as the golden jubilee year of the popular Radio Vividh Bharati. Initially it was broadcast from only two centers in India, Bombay and Madras. Later, as its popularity increased, more stations of All India Radio started broadcasting it.
Presently, many of its stations listen to Vividh Bharati’s programs as an advertisement service of All India Radio to its listeners. It has remained the favorite radio channel of innumerable Hindi speaking people of India over the years.
When Doordarshan started in India and even after it did not start, it did not get as much love as this channel has been getting. Even today this channel is broadcast all over India.
